Ballard has only 4 unsold homes in The GablesOnly four homes, two of them on golf course homesites, remain available for purchase in The Gables@SummerGrove, one of the neighborhoods where Jerry Ballard Homes is building in the SummerGrove master planned community in Newnan. Emily Byrd, The Home Source Realtors on-site agent in the neighborhood, said The Gables is the last lawn maintenance neighborhood in SummerGrove with homes ready for immediate purchase. Located on Gables Way, which runs off Fairgreen Trace in the planned community, The Gables is a 30-home enclave with prices on remaining homes ranging from $225,150 to $253,500. Jerry Ballard Homes built 15 of the homes in the neighborhood. These three to five-bedroom homes contain a lot of square footage for for the price, said Byrd. Depending on the plan, the homes have many special features, including sunrooms, sitting rooms, large kitchens, Maytag appliances, and turreted dining rooms. These are open and spacious two-story and ranch designs, and they have proven to be especially popular with people who travel, empty nesters, retirees and singles. The four homes still on the market are all master-on-the-main plans, while some have guest or teen suites, and some have three full baths. More information about The Gables can be obtained by calling 770-683-4035. Jerry Ballard Homes has also begun work in three new neighborhoods, Tapestry, Ashton, and Golfview, in SummerGroves final single family residential phase. A temporary sales center is being set up for these neighborhoods, which have lake and golf view lots, at 102 Fairway Dr. One home is already under construction in both Tapestry and Ashton, and plans are being finalized for Golfview. The Jerry Ballard organization was founded in 1979 by the late Jerry Ballard, a 1969 marketing graduate from the University of Georgia who had first worked in construction at a subdivision in his hometown of Jonesboro. Following college, he served in Vietnam, then was affiliated with John Wieland Homes for several years, rising to the position of vice president of the company and being in charge all phases of the companys development in DeKalb, Douglas, Cobb, Clayton, Fayette and Gwinnett counties. After leaving the Wieland organization, Ballard built custom homes for a couple of years. Then, acting on the belief that The American Dream can be an affordable one, Ballard entered the affordable home market in 1981 with the construction of North Pond subdivision in Fayetteville. The company has built all across the Southern Crescent of Metro Atlanta and is currently active in Coweta and Henry counties. SummerGrove, located on Lower Fayetteville Road, is a community of neighborhoods with a wide variety of price ranges and an amenities package which include an 18-hole championship golf course, three swimming pools, tennis courts, beach volleyball and basketball courts and a lake, as well as hundreds of acres of parks, paths, grassy spaces and wooded areas. The Pathway Communities development is a short drive from Interstate 85 and from the extensive shopping entertainment, and dining opportunities in the area. Each home in SummerGrove includes upgraded wiring which meets the technology needs of today and tomorrow. | ||
