Bad Links? | Former mayor headed to court Monday By JOHN THOMPSON A political squabble has erupted in Senoia that will end up in City Court Monday afternoon. Resident Joe Brogdon took out an arrest warrant April 6 against former Mayor Dianne Cleveland for disorderly conduct. Brogdon alleges Cleveland appeared on his rental property and said the former mayor acted in a tumultuous manner and called him booty boy. An unusual twist in the case is that Brogdon and his business partner Perry Benson were two of the prime movers and shakers that tried to help get Cleveland re-elected as mayor two elections ago. The latest tempest follows earlier incidents this year when Benson formed a watchdog group to keep on eye on local politicians. Benson and Brogdon were also opposed when Cleveland petitioned the city to move a house onto her property earlier this year.
