Mrs. Susan Payne and Mike Fletcher announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Connie A. Fletcher, to Peter A. Kling, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel V. Kling of Peachtree City.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Fields and Mrs. Rebecca Shaw. She is a 2000 graduate of Northgate High School and is employed at the Anthony Michaels Salon in Peachtree City.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Albert E. Kling of Washington, D.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Ousley of Meridian, Miss. He is a 1998 graduate of McIntosh High School and is employed at Carrabbas Italian Grill in Peachtree City.
The wedding will be Saturday, April 23, 2005, in Adairsville. The Rev. J. Thomas Sofge Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., uncle of the groom, will conduct the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Sarasota, Fla., the couple will reside in Newnan.
Strickland-Gentry
Dawn Marie Strickland of Fayetteville and Joshua Lance Gentry of Athens, Ala., were married Nov. 27, 2004, in Brooks. The 4 p.m. ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Paul Carrier.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and Yvonne Strickland of Fayetteville, and the granddaughter of Henry and Irene Shell of Jonesboro and Fred and Mary Strickland of Fayetteville.
The groom is the son of Russ Gentry of Osceola, Ind. and Brenda Haraway of Athens, Ala., and the grandson of Loren and Doris Fisher of Olney, Ill. and the late Jim and Betty Gentry.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Maid of honor was Launa Scaccia. The brides attendants were Amanda Buckner, Valerie Suggs and Kelly Clark, all friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Mercedes George, friend of the groom. The flower girl was Ashlyn Brown, cousin of the bride.
Officer Chris Miller served as best man. Groomsmen were Loren Fisher, grandfather of the groom; Matthew Gentry, brother of the groom; and Officer Jason Sims, friend of the groom. Junior groomsman was Will Miller, friend of the groom. Ring bearers were Jack Richards, friend of the bride, and Justin Brown, cousin of the bride.
Ushers were Cody Fisher and Kyle Fisher, cousins of the groom. Candle lighter was Derek Cox, friend of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Hary Hall.
For the wedding trip, the couple took a cruise to the Western Caribbean and now resides in Montgomery, Ala.
Moeller-Bentley
Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Moeller of Savannah announce the marriage of their daughter, Chelsea McFadden Moeller, to Derek Andrew Bentley, also of Savannah, formerly of Fayetteville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Drew Bentley of Morganton. Jenna Moeller, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Paige Bentley, sister of the groom, Michelle Barnes, Lyndsy Woods and Suzanne Carlton.
A reception and dinner were held at the pier on Tybee Beach, followed by dancing, and music by Roger Widener.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Richmond Hill High School and a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design, where she received a bachelor of arts degree in jewelry design. She is currently employed at R. Widener & Co. in Savannah.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of Fayette County High School and a graduate of Armstrong Atlantic University in Savannah, where he received his bachelor of arts degree in history. He is currently studying for his masters degree in US-Latin American diplomatic history. He is employed by Armstrong Atlantic State University.
After a honeymoon in Salvador, Brazil, the couple will reside in Savannah.
