Bands to square off at The Villages

The Fayette County High School Band Boosters proudly presents a new band competition and concert. Last Band Standing is open to all bands of any size, any age group, any type of music. The main requirements are a love of music, a desire to perform, and family themed appropriate music. All music must be performed live with no lip-synching or recorded music. This event will be held at the Villages Amphitheater in Fayetteville, April 23. In the event of rain the event will be held at Sam’s Auditorium. All local bands are invited and encouraged to fill out an application to compete.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top bands based on the quality of music by a panel of judges. There will also be a peoples choice award for most popular band. A collector’s t-shirt has been designed for the event and a wide array of food is slated for the concession stands. Tickets are $5 each at the gate for a full day of some of the best music in Fayetteville. Bring your friends and family and a blanket or lawn chair for a great day of music at the permiere of this new springtime concert venue.
