What do you think of this story? | Newnan Theatre To Perform The Diary of Anne FrankAmong the greatest heroes of World War II were the Dutch families who hid Jews from Nazis in secret compartments in their houses. Two best selling books have been written about this: The Hiding Place written by one of these Dutchmen, Corrie ten Boom, and The Diary of a Young Girl, written by one of the hidden Jews, Anne Frank. Later, Anne Franks book began to be referred to as The Diary of Anne Frank. The Hiding Place has been made into a movie and The Diary of Anne Frank has been made into a play. The Diary of Anne Frank is based on the journal of a young Jewish girl who chronicled her daily life as she and her family hid from the Nazis in occupied Holland during World War II. The play was written by Frances Goodson and Albert Hackett; Newnan Theatre Company (NTC) is presenting a new adaptation done by Wendy Kesselman. NTCs Artistic Director Dave Dorrell is directing The Diary of Anne Frank.
