Orthodox Christians to celebrate Palm Sunday

Orthodox Christians around the world will celebrate Palm Sunday on April 24. In preparation for the event, the Orthodox Mission of Peachtree City will hold services Saturday, April 23 with Orthros at 8 a.m. and Divine Liturgy at 9 a.m. Palm Sunday services will be on Sunday with Orthros at 8 a.m., Divine Liturgy at 9 a.m. and a Palm Sunday luncheon sponsored by the Philoptochos Society at 10:45 a.m. The Service of the Bridegroom Christ will be Sunday evening at 7 p.m. All services will be held at 313 Dividend Drive in Peachtree City. Blood drive is Sunday at FFUMC

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have a Red Cross blood drive Sunday, April 24, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the church gym. Appointments are preferred and may be made during the Wednesday night supper, or by calling Tommy Webb, 770-631-1677.

Mt. Olive Baptist to celebrate Men’s Day

B’nai Israel plans Holocaust memorial event

Congregation B’nai Israel in sponsorship with Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will present a “Yom Hashoah” Holocaust Remembrance Day service Sunday, May 1 at 4 p.m. at Congregation B’nai Israel, Ga.
