Bad Links? | Westmoreland announces high school art competitionCongressman Lynn Westmoreland has announced that the 8th Congressional District will be participating in the Congressional Art Competition, "An Artistic Discovery," open to all high school students. The 2005 exhibit will be held at the Coweta County Performing and Visual Arts Center May 14 from 2-4 p.m. Both the Savannah College of Art and Design and the Art Institute of Atlanta are offering significant scholarships to the first-, second- and third-place winners. The first-place winner will also be invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony June 14 in Washington, D.C. The winning entry will hang along with winners from across the country in the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol. All entries must be received by May 10.
