Bad Links? | First baseman Rick Williams signs with Georgia CollegeBy MICHAEL BOYLAN Fayette County High School first baseman Rick Williams knows where he is going in the fall and now he can relax and focus on the rest of the season and his senior year. He will attend Georgia College and State University this fall and will be playing first base for them as well. Georgia College is the best program for me and my family, said Williams. It gives me the best chance to continue playing baseball. In addition to playing for the Tigers for several years, including their journey to the final four in Williams sophomore year, he has also played summer baseball for the Savannah Chain. This summer, Williams plans to work out with Lloyd Thompson at Home Plate in Peachtree City. While focused on creating more memories for the Tigers this season as they attempt to make it back to the deep rounds of the state playoffs, the Tigers trip to the final four two years ago sticks out as Williams career highlight thus far. There is still a lot of baseball to be played this year and Williams and the rest of the Tigers are ready to give it their all. |
