Bad Links? | Fayetteville traffic signal set to changeThe Georgia Department of Transportation announced Friday that the new traffic signal at Ga. Highway 54 and Brandywine Boulevard will be changing its function next week. According to a DOT statement, the signal was installed and turned to stop-and-go mode April 4. It was placed there because of the Ingles grocery store originally planned for that intersection. However, Ingles decided more than a year ago not to locate a store there, so Fayetteville city officials asked for a flashing light there instead. At their request, this signal will go into flash mode Wednesday, April 20, according to the DOT statement. The signal will flash amber on S.R. 54 and red on Brandywine Blvd. Both side streets will have stop signs and stop-ahead signs installed. Motorists are urged to drive with care as everyone gets accustomed to this change. |
