Grand opening specials in place at The HamptonsGrand Opening specials have been put into effect for the Grand Opening of The Hamptons, The Housing Groups 42-home community within walking distance of downtown Hampton. A home buyers special is the awarding of a two-year pre-paid lease on a new Chrysler PT Cruiser upon the closing of contracts on the current four inventory homes in the community. Meg Thompson, the broker for meg&co. Real Estate Inc., the company handling sales in The Hamptons, said, Not only will these four purchasers get a new home, but they will get a brand new car to go in the garage of the new home. She noted that the PT Cruiser was selected for its retro body design. The styling coordinated with the architecture and feel of the community, she explained. This promotion got underway on March 26 and will remain in effect until May 31 or until the time prior to May 31 when and if all four inventory homes are sold. Under the agents incentive special, a five percent co-op commission will be given as a Grand Opening bonus for contracts on the four inventory homes and pre-sale contracts in The Hamptons. This incentive program goes into effect immediately and will remain in effect until further notice. The Grand Opening agents luncheon, a Celebration of the Fabulous Fifties, is today from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The guests, including local dignitaries, financial community representatives, and other invited guests, will dine on Southern cuisine on the grounds of the Historic Hampton House restaurant, located adjacent to The Hamptons entrance. The agents will be able to tour the communitys decorate model home and inventory homes, as well as participate in drawings for cash giveaways. There will be music at the bandstand in the communitys central lawn. This weekend, there will be a Grand Opening for the general public. The Hamptons, situated on East Main Street just off Ga. Highway 20 within walking distance of downtown Hampton, offers Craftsman-styled bungalow homes with prices starting in the low $200,000s. Open from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. every day except Sundays, when the hours are from 1-6 p.m., and Fridays, when it is closed, the model home can be contacted by calling 770-707-2358. The home designs are reminiscent of the early 1900s and have period detailing such as cedar shake accents, decorative period windows and doors, tapered columns and wide, covered verandah porches. The interiors feature hardwood floors, crown molding, bead-board detailing, and simple, classic banisters. The Hamptons exhibits elements of new urbanism with the best features of small town living in mind. Homes are located closer to the sidewalk than normal to encourage more social interaction among neighbors, and the community has a grand bandstand and a central lawn as a focal point and community gathering place. Homeowners association dues cover lawn service for every home, as well as the park area and the entryway to the community. The community is convenient to local schools, the town library, and Hampton City Park. A short drive from Interstate 75, Highway 19-41, and the Atlanta Motor Speedway, Hampton is only a half hour from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and 45 minutes south of downtown Atlanta. The Housing Group Partners, an award-winning company which has Michael Ray and James MacDowell as its principals, celebrated its 25th anniversary last year. The company, which has produced nearly 4,000 homes in Metro Atlanta, already has a solid reputation for building communities reflecting the Traditional Neighborhood Design concept. These communities in other historic locations in the Metro Atlanta area received a tremendously positive reception from the home buying public. The company, which has been active in downtown Atlanta, East Atlanta, Decatur, and in the North and West Metro counties, previously built in the late 1990s at the Heritage Lake community in Fayetteville and also built in Peachtree City and Tyrone.
