Hopewells fashion show is SaturdayHopewell Methodist Women will stage their third annual fashion show and luncheon Saturday, April 16, at noon. Proceeds benefit mission projects. Greek Orthodox Mission to offer delicaciesThe Greek Orthodox Mission of Peachtree City will offer some of its Greek delicacies, such as pastichio, moussaka, grilled souvlaki, pastries and more, at the Shakerag Festival in Peachtree City on April 16 and 17. The mission celebrated its first Greekfest March 5 at the Dixie Commemorative Hangar in Peachtree City. More than 300 attended. Entertainment featured the Greek Dance Troupe from the Marietta Greek Orthodox church and visitors were invited to join in the dancing afterwards. Silent and live auctions were held, with all proceeds benefiting the missions building fund. Priest to speak on Christian ZionismDr. Stephen Sizer, Anglican vicar of Christ Church, Virginia Water, visiting lecturer at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, and chairman of the International Bible Society UK, will speak at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Fayetteville Sunday, April 17, at adult education at 9:45 a.m. He will address the topic of Christian Zionism, the movement and its theology. The Episcopal Church of the Nativity is at 130 Antioch Road, just off of Hwy. 92 South, at Harps Crossing in Fayetteville.
