Samaritans’ top 10 needs for April

The Fayette Samaritans is a non-profit food and clothing bank supported by more than 40 area churches. The 12-year-old organization is devoted to meeting the emergency food and clothing needs for Fayette County’s citizens.

1. Clothes washing soap.
2. Canned salmon.
3. Cereal.
4. Canned fruit.
5. Instant potatoes.
6. Apple or fruit juice.
7. Canned sweet potatoes.
8. Canned greens.
9. Canned carrots.
10. Canned mixed vegetables.

The charity’s clothing bank needs men’s work and casual clothes. There is a special need for large and extra large clothes and shoes.

The Samaritan offices are at 126 Hickory Rd., beside the Fayetteville Christian Church, and are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon. Phone them at 770-719-2707.
