Honors Convocation set for tomorrow

Clayton College & State University’s 30th Annual Honors Convocation is scheduled for Apr. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Spivey Hall.

Dr. Sharon E. Hoffman, provost and vice president for academic affairs, will be recognizing some 250 Honors Program and Dean’s List students including special awards, contest winners, peer tutors, Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, and Academic Achievement awards.

Ashley E. Askew, honors student and recipient of the Chancellor’s Academic Recognition Award will deliver her remarks on “Honor and the College Experience,” prior to the presentation of the Academic Achievement Awards, presented by Dr. Thomas K. Harden, president of Clayton State, Hoffman, and Rebecca Gmeiner, registrar.

In addition, the Clayton College & State University Foundation Academic Excellence Awards will be presented by Foundation Chair, Robert Lee.
