Bad Links? | Library to host poetry contestBy CAROLYN CARY The Peachtree City Library has issued a call for authors to submit their poetry for consideration to Rhythm and Rhyme. The contest is in honor of Aprils designation as National Poetry Month. This will be its fourth year for the event. Teens and adults in the community are invited to submit up to three poems for consideration. Guidelines and entry forms are available at the library. The chapbook of all selected poems will be published by the Peachtree City Library Corporation, a Friends of the Library USA affiliate. A chapbook is a collection of poems and ballads. Due to lack of space in the librarys temporary quarters, the event will be at the Kedron Fieldhouse Saturday, April 30, at 7 p.m. Copies of the chapbook will be presented to all readers and authors the night of the event and extra copies will be available for purchase by the general public. Deadline for submission is April 10. For information contact Rebecca Watts at the library, 770-631-2520. |
