Bad Links? | Chiefs take second at regional tournamentThe Peachtree City Chiefs Roller Hockey team took second place in the 18U division of the TORHS Regional Qualifier tournament, Feb. 25-27, bring home the signature Eagle trophy. Finishing second in the 18U division was a major accomplishment, as they played in a higher age bracket than their actual ages required for this tournament. Several players received individual awards during the weekend for their excellent playing skills. Sylvain Poncelet won a Player of the Game t-shirt during the fourth game and Steven Bearsdell won a Player of the Game t-shirt for the second game and the MVP award at the end of the tournament. Finishing off the weekend, Matt Deleonardis, Poncelet and Danny Madden were selected for the TORHS National 18U team. They will travel to Detroit, Mich. in July to play the game. |
