Bad Links? | Help now being sought for South Ga. tornado victims40 homes razed by twisters; another 100 damagedDonations are needed for victims in south Georgia whose homes were destroyed or damaged by tornados last week in Miller and Seminole counties, officials said. A donated goods warehouse is now open in Colquitt and is appealing for the following items: commercially canned foods - individual serving sizes; non-perishable foods such as cereals, chips, instant potatoes, rice, sugar; condiment items (salt, pepper, catsup, mustard, mayonnaise); rolls of heavy duty plastic; baby formula and diapers (all sizes); personal hygiene products, mosquito repellant, 2 x 4 studs; asphalt shingles; roofing felt; roofing nails; hammers; blue plastic tarps; plywood; trash bags (all sizes); cleaning supplies; paper products (bath tissue, paper towels, paper plates and cups); plastic products (eating utensils, cups, food wrap); and work gloves.
