Bad Links? | Westmoreland to host town hall meetingU.S. Rep. Lynn Westmoreland will host a town hall meeting on Social Security reform March 31 at 6 p.m. at Starrs Mill High School. The congressman has invited experts from the Social Security Administration to assist constituents with detailed questions. "Social Security is one of the most important programs of the federal government," Westmoreland said. "It's something that we all have a stake in and it's something that many folks have strong opinions about. We're at a crossroads where we have to make tough decisions about the future of Social Security so that it'll be for our children and grandchildren. That's what this session in Fayette County is about: hearing the thoughts and concerns of the people of the 8th District. This is a chance for my constituents to express their ideas or to ask questions to people who are on the front lines of the Social Security debate." |
