Atlanta's Alliance Theatre is presenting the World Premiere of The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, a play skillfully adapted by Rebecca Gilman, one of Americas favorite playwrights, from the landmark novel by Carson McCullers. The play is in previews this week and opens next week. The novel is included on the Oprah Winfrey Book Club list and, now, its important themes are preserved in this new and powerful play.
