Grantville to host gospel singing March 26

A free monthly gospel singing is held the fourth Saturday of each month at the old train depot in Grantville and features gospel singers from all over the southeast. The next event will be Saturday, March 26 at 6 p.m. Featured groups will be The Godin Family from Phenix City, Ala., High Point Quartet from Dallas, Ga., Second Coming from Griffin, and Young Spirit from Manchester. Providence UMC plans blood drive

A Red Cross blood drive will be held at Providence United Methodist Church Tuesday, March 29, from 2:30-7:30 p.m. To make an appointment, call the church office, 770-719-8800. The church is at 592 Bernhard Rd. between Redwine Road and Ga. Hwy. 85 in south Fayette County.

Free photography class offered at CUMC

Campbellton United Methodist Church will host a free photography class taught by Jeanie Elbaum beginning Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m. until noon. The class will continue for eight weeks. Students should bring their own camera, film and camera manual and will work on basic technique and composition. Preregistration is required. Jakes to speak at Body of Christ Church
