I am honored and excited about assuming my new role at Community Christian Church, Lindskoog said. This congregation has a long history and commitment as a community of faith dedicated to be of service not only to its members but also to the community and those in need throughout the world. We are a church where all are welcome to share worship and fellowship together. Lindskoog added that he believes one of the challenges facing Community Christian Church and all other houses of worship in Fayetteville is that of responding to the changing needs of the increasingly diverse community. Shirley Avery, president of the board at Community Christian said, The congregation feels God has blessed this church by sending Rev. Lindskoog to guide us in our future endeavors to reach out to the unchurched. We are small but steadfast in our faith to follow the teachings of Jesus. We welcome all who would take this journey of faith along with us. Community Christian is at 349 Kenwood Rd. Adult Sunday school and childrens church for children ages 4-12 is held at 9:45 a.m., with Sunday morning worship following at 11 a.m. A nursery is provided. |
