Other incidentsFayetteville Police Dept. Burglary: Someone broke into Cobblestone Amoco, 775 E. Lanier Ave., on March 10 and stole $500 in cash and $3,500 in food. Peachtree City Police Dept. Fraud: Janet C. Johnson, 41, of Corrigan Trace, Peachtree City, a school teacher, reported someone fraudulently charged $1,400 to her J.C. Penneys credit card without her permission. The culprit may live in Alpharetta. Entering auto: Annie Roberta Morse, 35, of Turnbridge Circle, Peachtree City, reported someone entered her 1997 Volkswagen Passat and stole her radar detector and Dell memory card, all valued at $820. Sexual assault: A Hampton woman alleged she was sexually assaulted by a Peachtree City man she met at Hangar 74. The woman in her mid-20s told police she met the man, left in his vehicle the same night and drove to his home where she was assaulted. The alleged offender drove her back to the bar where she met with friends. The friends took her to Piedmont Fayette Hospital for treatment. The woman declined to press charges. Wanted: A bench warrant was issued for Elvis Miguel Gomez Rafeal, 21, of Meadow Road, Peachtree City, for failure to appear in court. Fayette Co. Fire and Emergency Services Chimney or flue fire: At 7:28 p.m. March 9, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a chimney fire at 260 Windsor Drive in the Windsor Heights subdivision. Gas leak: At 7:23 p.m. March 10, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a gas leak at 292 Woolsey Brooks Road. Carbon monoxide incident: At 8:53 p.m. March 11, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to 500 Dix-Lee-On Drive after receiving a carbon monoxide-related call. Building fire: At 1:31 p.m. March 12, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a building fire at 836 Milam Loop. Controlled burn: At 2:17 p.m. March 12, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to 242 Hampton Road to investigate a complaint of unauthorized burning. From March 7-14: Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel received 102 calls for help. Fayetteville Fire Dept. Grass fire: At 4:19 p.m. March 5, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a grass fire at 357 New Hope Road. Firefighters extinguished the fire. Vehicle accident: At 10:16 a.m. March 6, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a vehicle accident with injuries at 110 Briar Lane. Water or steam leak: At 9:15 a.m. March 7, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a water or steam leak at 105 N. Highway 85. Oil spill: At 8:29 a.m. March 10, Fayetteville firefighters responded to an oil spill at Ga. Highway 54 and Gingercake Road. Building fire: At 10:38 p.m. March 11, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a building fire at 205 Industrial Way. Units arrived at the location and found heavy smoke pouring from a single story Butler-type building. Crews made forcible entry into the structure and found a work truck fully engulfed in flames as well as other contents of the building. The fire was extinguished. Crews remained about 1 1/2 hours to conduct overhaul operations and check for fire extension. Fayette County Department Fire & Emergency Services also responded to the scene and assisted with operations. The cause is still under investigation. Controlled burn: At 3:58 p.m. March 11, Fayetteville firefighters assisted Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel as they investigated an authorized controlled burn call at 175 Brandon Mill Circle. From March 5-13: Fayetteville firefighters received 61 calls for help. Peachtree City Fire and Rescue Brush fire: At 12:54 a.m. March 7, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a brush fire on the golf cart path near 126 Shadowood Lane. Personnel and equipment arrived to find a small fire in the area. The fire was extinguished. Accident: At 8:59 a.m. March 7, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a motor vehicle accident at TDK and Dividend Drive. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. Gas leak: At 11:09 a.m. March 7, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported gas leak at 361 Commerce Drive. The call was unfounded. Fire alarm: At 2:02 p.m. March 7, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at 310 Peachtree Parkway North. The alarm was false and caused by a contractor testing system. Structure fire: At 3:53 p.m. March 7, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported structure fire at 410 Vardon Way. The firefighters arrived to find the home had a slight smell of smoke. During the investigation for a source of the smell, it was found that the washing machine motor had apparently burned. Power was shut down to the machine and it was removed from the structure. Fire alarm: At 4:03 p.m. March 7, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at 200 Market Place Connector. The alarm was false and caused by malfunction. The alarm was false and caused by malfunction. Accident: At 6:58 a.m. March 8, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported motor vehicle accident at 200 Highway 74 South. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. A patient was transported by Peachtree City Fire and Rescue ambulance. Accident: At 10:35 a.m. March 8, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported motor vehicle accident at 350 Highway 74 South. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. Fire alarm: At 1:13 p.m. March 8, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at 201 Aberdeen Parkway. The alarm was false and caused by malfunction. The cause of the leak was a gas line had been cut during construction. The cause of the leak was mitigated. Brush fire: At 6:35 p.m. March 8, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported brush fire in area of Peachtree Parkway and Waterwood Bend. Personnel and equipment arrived to find a small fire next to the golf cart. The fire was extinguished. Brush fire: At 12:29 p.m. March 9, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported brush fire at 100 Steven Entry. Personnel and equipment arrived to find a small fire in the area next to the soccer fields at the Glenloch recreation area. The fire was extinguished. Fire alarm: At 12:36 p.m. March 9, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported fire alarm at 650 Highway 74 South. The alarm was false. The fire was extinguished. Brush fire: At 8:58 a.m. March 10, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a brush fire at 201 Peachtree Parkway South. Personnel and equipment arrived to find a small fire in the area. The fire was extinguished. The fire was extinguished. Structure fire: At 7:18 p.m. March 10, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a structure fire at 400 Peachtree Parkway North. The firefighters arrived to find the residence had a smell of smoke or an electrical fire. During the investigation for a source of the smoke, it was found that the stove had an electrical malfunction. Power was shut down to the unit and residence given back to the owner with instructions to have the unit repaired. Accident: At 12:57 p.m. March 11, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to 450 Peachtree Parkway South. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. Patients were transported to hospital by Peachtree City Fire and Rescue ambulances. Brush fire: At 1:07 p.m. March 11, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a brush fire at 103 Highway 74. Personnel and equipment arrived to find a small fire. The alarm was false and caused by a malfunction. Fire alarm: At 11:50 p.m. March 11, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at 102 Greenblade Point. The alarm was false and caused by malfunction. Vehicle fire: At 4:37 a.m. March 12, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a vehicle fire at 2597 Highway 54. Firefighters arrived to find the vehicle with fire in the engine compartment. The firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. Structure fire: At 11:35 a.m. March 12, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a structure fire at 1000 Steven Entry. Firefighters arrived to find the residence full of smoke. The residence reported they had a stove fire and thought it was extinguished. During the initial entry, the firefighters confirmed the fire was out and removed the stove from the apartment. Ventilation fans were set up to remove the smoke from the apartment. Further investigation was conducted to make sure there was no extension from the fire. After all the smoke was removed, the residence was given back to the renter and the apartment complex management was contacted. Accident: At 2:20 p.m. March 12, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 74 and Peachtree Parkway. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. Rescue Air helicopter and Peachtree City Fire and Rescue ambulance each transported one patient each. Fire alarm: At 6:30 p.m. March 12, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at 211 New Port Drive. The alarm was false and caused by malfunction. Fire alarm: At 12:09 a.m. March 14t, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at 10 Lexington Pass. The alarm was false and was caused by a system malfunction. Brush fire: At 3:59 p.m. March 14, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a brush fire at 463 Flat Creek Road. Personnel and equipment arrived to find a small fire that had been extinguished. Accident: At 4:26 p.m. March 14, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to an accident at 2715 Hwy. 54 at the entrance of Wal-Mart. Construction crews for the Highway 54 expansion had cut a gas line causing the leak. Highway 54 was shut down until Atlanta Gas could repair the gas line. Accident: At 8:30 a.m. March 15, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to an accident at Dividend Drive and Paschal Road. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. Accident: At 2:51 p.m. March 15, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to an accident at Peachtree Parkway and Highway 54. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. Patient was transported by Peachtree City Fire/Rescue ambulance. Fuel spill: At 3:38 p.m. March 15, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported fuel spill at Planterra Way and Highway 54. The fuel spill was mitigated. The alarm was false and caused by malfunction. Vehicle fire: At 9:01 p.m. March 18, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported vehicle fire at Hip Pocket and Kelly Drive. Firefighters arrived to find a golf cart with a small fire under it. The firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. Brush fire: At 4:51 p.m. March 19, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a brush fire at 422 Loyd Road. Personnel and equipment arrived to find a small fire controlled burn being monitored by resident following all the regulations. Drowning: At 5:58 p.m. March 19, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to an overturned boat with two people in distress on Lake Peachtree. Personnel and equipment arrived to find a canoe overturned with two juveniles in the water. They did not have life preservers but were making it to shore. Both were checked out by EMS personnel and released. Brush fire: At 8:35 p.m. March 19, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported brush fire at 105 Summer Place. Personnel and equipment arrived to find a small fire at a construction site. The fire was unattended, which is a violation of the regulations. The fire was extinguished. Brush Fire: At 11:44 p.m. March 19, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported brush fire at 106 Pat Mell. Personnel and equipment arrived to find a small fire in the backyard. The fire was burning after dusk, which is a violation of the regulations. The fire was extinguished. Accident: At 2:17 p.m. March 20, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to an accident at Hwy. 54 and McDuff Parkway. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. From March 7-20: Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to 119 calls for help.
