CCSU hosts health fair todayThe Southern Crescents focus on education turns health education today as Clayton College & State University hosts its annual University Health Fair from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. This years event is being held for the first time in the new University Centers Food Court. The health fair will provide health education information and screening to our students, staff, faculty and the entire Clayton State community. The health fair is also part of the Womens Awareness celebration in conjunction with Womens History Month, said Terrilyn Lemons, director of the Clayton State Nurse Manages Clinic and the Health Fair. The Health Fair is a public event that will have something for everyone, including free health education information from: Aids of Atlanta. Free health screenings will be performed by: Kaiser Permanente (body fat and blood pressure). Cholesterol screenings will also be provided for a $5 fee by the Nursed Managed Clinic. The Health Fair will also place special emphasis on womens health issues, through the following vendors: Mary Kay Cosmetics. Finally, for all the stressed-out office workers, mini-massages will be provided by Integrated Wellness Michael Clark. The 2005 University Health fair is sponsored by the Nurse Managed Clinic, the Clayton State School of Health Sciences, Womens Awareness Committee, and the Clayton State Office of Diversity Services.
