Soldout Dessert Concert Sets Second Performance for March 20

“Georgia On My Mind”, a musical celebration of the South, will be presented as a dessert concert March 20, at 7 p.m. by the

Lafayette Chorale, under the direction of Elizabeth Biggs.

A member of the Lafayette Society for Performing Arts, the concert will feature soloists Nathan Greene and Robin Treadwell, with Linda Scantlin as accompanist.

The program will present a medley of Johnny Mercer favorites, a tribute to Stephen Foster,Southern spirituals, selections from

Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess” and, of course, “Georgia On My Mind.”

The concert is at Events On Main, 134 Main Street in downtown

LaGrange. Tickets are $15 each and are available from LSPA Center, 210

Bull Street, or by calling 706-882-9909.

The concert is underwritten by SunTrust Bank, the Georgia Council for the Arts and the Lafayette Society for Performing Arts.
