What do you think of this story? | Boys Next Door is just around the cornerThe FCFT Professional Dinner Theatre Ensemble, Fayette-Coweta Family Theatres professional adult company, will present the powerful and unforgettable dinner theatre production The Boys Next Door by Tom Griffin at the end of April. The Boys Next Door brings to the stage a hilarious, yet touching, portrait of four mentally challenged men and the fortunate people who interact with them on a daily basis. Evan Stitt as Arnold Wiggins, Mike Hubbard as Norman Bulansky, Alwyn Mindoro as Lucian P. Smith, and Jay Rieger as Berry Klemper take audiences through many escapades which are touching, humorous and at times very powerful. Throughout the entire performance, audiences are reminded how special the boys are by their loving, yet increasingly burned-out, social worker Jack, played by Adam Schwam. Additional roles are Tammy Barton as Normans girlfriend, Shelia, Terry Hoffman as Mr. Klemper, Alicia Tucker as Mrs. Femus, Mrs. Warren and Ms. Corbin and Gayann Truelove as Ms. Hedges, Clara and Senator Clarke. While serious at times, there is no end to the joy the Boys create for every audience member that will see this show. Presented by a professional cast of nine adults and accompanied by a delicious catered meal, this show is perfect for a couple's night out or a special gift to that theatre lover in your life! Performances will be presented at The Fayette-Family YMCA Lodge House at 215 Huiet Road in Fayetteville on April 28, 29 and 30 at 7 p.m. (Dinner at 7 p.m. ~ Show at 8 p.m.) and April 30 and May 1 at 2 p.m. (Dinner at 2 ~ Show at 3 p.m.). A catered Italian meal of penna pasta or spaghetti with marina sauce, alfredo sauce or meatballs and marina sauce with tossed salad, warm garlic bread and special punch or coffee will be served prior to the performance. Desserts/beverages will be served at intermission. Tickets are $25.00 for adults and $22.00 for seniors 65+ and children from 10 to 15 years of age. Because of mature subject matter and one scene with strong language, FCFT does not recommend this production to audiences younger than 10 years of age. FCFT rates this production a solid PG-13. Reservations are required and shows are expected to sell-out quickly. Performances are limited to 64 only and table assignments are on a first come first serve basis. To make reservations call the theatre at 770-251-7611 or visit www.fcft.net/Boys. Payment is not due at time of reservation, but will be collected at the door. Dont miss a chance to experience an afternoon or evening with The Boys. It is a time that you will never forget! | |
