St. Gabriel Catholic sets Holy Week eventsThe Catholic Church of St. Gabriel is making plans for Holy Week, beginning with a Vigil Mass of Palm Sunday on Saturday, March 19, at 5:30 p.m. Each of the weekend liturgies will begin with the blessing of palms, which will be distributed to the parishioners. Sunday morning Masses will be at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. while the evening liturgy will be at 5 p.m. The 10:30 morning Mass and the Life Teen evening Mass will both begin on the parish grounds with the blessing of palms and scripture readings, and will conclude with the full Mass inside the church. The Lenten season officially ends on Wednesday and the Easter Triduum begins. On Holy Thursday, March 24, the Evening Mass of the Lords Supper will be celebrated at 7 p.m. and will include washing of the feet. Special events also are planned for Good Friday, March 25, through Easter Sunday, March 27, and will be announced in detail next week. The church is at 152 Antioch Road, just south of the intersection of Highway 92 and Antioch Road. For directions and additional information, call the parish office, 770-461-0492. |
