Bad Links? | Dwarf House manager receives awardDespite the ever-changing economy, Chick-fil-A has achieved an unprecedented 37th consecutive year of annual sales growth. While its continued growth can be attributed to several factors, Chick-fil-A restaurant operators and Dwarf House managers, including Fayettevilles Doug Mickey, continue to play a vital role that has helped sustain the chains success. In recognition of his exceptional sales efforts in 2004, Chick-fil-A awarded Mickey and his Fayetteville Dwarf House with the chains Symbol of Success award at its annual company meeting recently in San Diego, Calif. Mickey joins 54 other Chick-fil-A Operators and Dwarf House Managers who received the Symbol of Success award for 2004. As Chick-fil-As highest honor, the Symbol of Success award recognizes restaurant operators and Dwarf House managers who have successfully achieved aggressive sales goals from the previous year. As an award recipient, the Operator or Manager receives the key to his or her choice of any one of several different Ford automobiles, vans or trucks for one year. If the individual Operator or Manager achieves the same level of increase the following year, he or she is awarded the title to the vehicle. Mickey joined Chick-fil-A in 1983 as a business consultant at the chains corporate headquarters and assisted operators with their annual business goals. After several years in this capacity, was selected as manager of the Fayetteville Dwarf House when it opened in 1991. A Symbol of Success winner in 1994, Mickey set his sights on the 2004 Symbol goal. He created a comprehensive business plan and with the help Team Members and fellow Chick-fil-A Operators, set about implementing the plan. In late December, Mickeys plans came to fruition as he achieved the Symbol of Success with time to spare. Our success is truly a result of our Operators unwavering commitment to satisfying customers and serving quality products, said Chick-fil-A President and Chief Operating Officer Dan. T. Cathy. Our Operators consistently show by example that the key to customer loyalty is to make them happy and to make sure that they have a pleasurable dining experience each and every time.
