Bad Links? | CCSU open house set for March 19Its time for another Laker Day at Clayton State. The Universitys Office of Admissions Open House for high school seniors and their parents, Laker Day will kick off Saturday, Mar. 19, at 9 a.m. in the Universitys world-renowned Spivey Hall, and run until 5 p.m. with optional tours of the Clayton Place Apartments, adjacent to the main campus in Morrow. Following the 9 a.m. registration and refreshments, Clayton State Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Sharon Hoffman will welcome students and their parents to the 6000-student campus. At 9:30 a.m., Director of Admissions Jeff Hammer will give the participants an overview of the admissions process for the University, after which concurrent sessions for students and parents will be held in Spivey Hall and the Harry S. Downs Center for Continuing Education. The Open House is a great chance to introduce Clayton State to high school students and their parents, said Hammer. Come hear about our academic programs and student services; take a guided tour of our beautiful campus, and meet our outstanding students, faculty and staff. From 11 a.m. to the 1:10 p.m. SunTrust-sponsored luncheon in the University Center, additional concurrent sessions will be held in the University Center, along with the Student Organizations Fair, which will run through until 3 p.m. to give prospective students a chance to learn more about Clayton States diverse campus life and activities. Campus tours will be given from 1-3 p.m., when the optional tours of Clayton Place will start from the Clayton Place clubhouse on North Lake Street. All prospective students will also be given a complementary Clayton State T-shirt.
