Jim and Elaine Yarbrough of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Leigh Yarbrough, to Matthew Edward Fearrington, son of Will and Cynthia Fearrington of Winston-Salem, N.C.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benson Lamp of Dublin, Ohio, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Yarbrough of Fayetteville. She is a 1995 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and a 1998 graduate of the University of Georgia where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta. She received her masters of counseling degree in 2001 and her doctoral degree in school psychology in 2004 from the University of Tennessee. She presently is employed as a school psychologist in Monroe County, Tenn.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Annie Eastman of Winston-Salem, N.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eric Fearrington, also of Winston-Salem. A 1997 graduate of Wake Forest University, he received his masters in counseling in 1999 from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and his doctoral in counseling psychology from the University of Tennessee in 2004. He currently is employed at Cherokee Health Systems in Knoxville, Tenn.
The wedding will be Saturday, May 21, at the Sea Pines Country Club on Hilton Head Island.
Floyd, Jones
Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Floyd Jr. of LaGrange announce the engagement of their daughter, Jan Marie, to Brian Michael Jones, son of Marty and Joy Jones of Peachtree City.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Floyd Sr. of Summerville and Mrs. Ellen Flowers of Stone Mountain and the late Charles Flowers. She is a 2000 graduate of Troup County High School and a December 2004 graduate of Columbus State University where she received a bachelor of science degree in health and physical education.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hardin Sr. of Daytona Beach Shores, Fla. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hal Jones Sr. He is a 1999 graduate of McIntosh High School and will receive a bachelor of science degree in business from Columbus State University in May, 2005. He is in business with his father at MJ Enterprises in Peachtree City.
The wedding will be March 12 at LaGrange First United Methodist Church. After a Western Caribbean cruise, the couple will reside in Newnan.
Ulmer Anniversary
Donald and Shirley Ulmer of Peachtree City recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. They were married in New Orleans, La., Feb. 1, 1950.
The Ulmers were honored by their neighbors with a surprise dinner at Buckhead Brewery.
Also, the couples four daughters, sons-in-law, and six grandchildren hosted a party to celebrate the occasion with family and friends.
