Associate Showcase set for March 17

The Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia has scheduled its annual Associate Showcase Thursday, March 17, from 4:30-8:30 p.m. at the Kiwanis Fair Complex on Goza Road in Fayette County.

The event, which was formerly known as Table Top Night, association members will be able to obtain information on the latest in building products, discover how to save money on future projects, and network with others in their industry. Associate members will have the opportunity to promote their products and services.

Blake Builders Supply is offering the event’s largest door prize ever, $2,000 off on a framing package that includes a floor by TrimStar. This is an open-web trimmable end floor truss system that has become very popular in this market.

Blake’s and the company’s truss plant, Specialty Forest Products, has supported the Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia by furnishing the first floor framing and a TrimStar floor system for the association’s “Street of Dreams” home.

The meeting will also be a St. Patrick’s Day observance since it will be held that day.

Food will be provided by Speedi Pig Barbecue. Other events that night include Crab Races, an association fund raiser where painted and numbered hermit crabs purchased by attendees will compete in a series of races to determine first, second and third places, plus a Builder Auction, where bidders, including associate members who do business with the local building community, will be able to compete for the opportunity to take a participating builder to lunch.
