GAR announces 2005 officersBob Hamilton, RCE, executive vice president of the Georgia Association of Realtors, has announced the organization's 2004 leadership team. Officers were sworn in Feb. 4, at the President's Banquet during GAR's Inaugural Meeting and Trade Expo in Biloxi, Miss. Jan Baker of Buford has been sworn in as president for 2005. A graduate of the University of Georgia, she currently serves as vice president of corporate affairs and managing broker of the I-85 North office for Prudential Georgia Realty. She has been involved in real estate for over 24 years, having served as President for the Cherokee Association of Realtors in 1987 as well as the Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of Realtors in 1997. Jan's accolades include Realtor of the Year four times on the local level and 2003 GAR Realtor of the Year. Judy Presley of Gainesville has been sworn in as president-elect. Presley is a member of the Hall County Board of Realtors and serves as operating partner for Keller Williams Lanier Partners in Gainesville. Buddy Weston of Atlanta has been sworn in as immediate past president; Bill Collins of Athens has been sworn in as vice president of Professional Development; Arlene Davis of Vidalia has been sworn in vice president of administration and operations; Steven Fischer of Savannah has been sworn in as vice president of communications & public relations; and Van Johnson of Tucker has been sworn in vice president of governmental affairs. Regional directors for the association are as follows: Region 1, Ceci Osburn of Marietta; Region 2, Bill Lawson of Stone Mountain; Region 3, Jim Harrington of Rome; Region 4, Chris Ballard of Atlanta; Region 5, Bill Boatman of Augusta; Region 6, Elaine Lee of Warner Robins; Region 7, Barbara Watson of Leesburg; Region 8, Linda Cook of Kingsland; and Region 9, Robin Lance of Richmond Hill. The Georgia Association of Realtors, The Voice for Real Estate in Georgia, is celebrating its 84th year as the state association for more than 32,000 Realtors.
