Bad Links? | Religion BriefsDia De La Familia Health Fair set for March 19Holy Trinity Catholic Church will host the Day of the Family Health Fair Saturday, March 19, from 8 a.m. until noon. This is not a religious event, but a service to those who do not have health insurance and would like to be screened for diabetes, cholesterol, vision, dental, hearing, breast cancer, HIV, and many other health issues. Translators will be available to help those who do not speak English. All screenings are free of charge, and will include children as well as adults. Peachtree Jazz Edition to perform in PTCPeachtree Jazz Edition, an 18-piece band with a female vocalist, will perform at the First Presbyterian Church, Peachtree City, Saturday, March 12. Evenings begin with dinner at 7 p.m., followed by entertainment at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 each. The jazz group plays music from the 30s and 40s Big Band era to modern pop-jazz tunes of the 90s, including arrangements by such artists as Glen Miller, Frank Sinatra, and Bobby Darrin. His House to celebrate with barbecue March 13His House Community Church will celebrate its eighth birthday Sunday, March 13, beginning with worship and dedication of the new church building at 11 a.m., followed by a barbecue and gospel music by Dana and Alvin of Simply His. St. Andrews to present The CrucifixionThe choir of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Peachtree City will perform Sir John Stainers oratorio, The Crucifixion, Palm Sunday, March 20, at 7 p.m. The work is described as ...a meditation on the Sacred Passion of the Holy Redeemer. The piece was first heard in February, Good Friday, 1887, at the St. Marylebone parish church in London.
