Bad Links? | Group assembling Easter baskets needs helpAs Easter approaches, Peachtree City resident Cathy McMullen and her organization, Embracing Military Families, will be collecting goodies for Easter baskets to be donated to children in the eight elementary schools around Fort Benning. The fire stations in both Fayetteville and Peachtree City will be drop off points for baskets or the stuff to go in them. Among the items that can be donated for a basket are candy, toys, bubbles and stuffed animals. Candy must be individually wrapped. The fire stations will also accept monetary donations to help fill the 1,200 baskets that will be created and handed out to children with parents in the military and serving overseas. The deadline to drop stuff off for the Easter baskets is March 21. For more information, phone Cathy McMullen at 770-487-0672. |
