Bad Links? | MHS Fashionata raises $4,000 for outdoor marqueeStudents and parents at McIntosh High proved they love fashion by helping the school raise $4,000 to purchase a new informational marquee during a recent fashion show. Fashionata 05: Springtime in Paris was the first fashion show sponsored by McIntoshs adult and student PTSO organization. Over 200 guests attended the event, which transported attendees to Paris via the Arc de Triomphe de LEtoile runway at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Guests enjoyed viewing the latest spring trends in causal and formal wear while savoring French cuisine served by the schools PTSO club students. Banana Republic, Bellas, Bonnies Boutique, Harris Stone Tuxedos, Liz Claiborne and Lornas Bridal and Prom provided apparel for the show. Accessories, makeup and hair designs were compliments of Dragon House Pearls, Euphoria, Ice-Paris and Virtu. Decorations, including programs, canvas paintings, runway backdrops, light towers and table centerpieces, were made possible through donations of realtor Cheryl Dunson, Shepard Exposition Services and Tony Brewer and Company. Platinum-level sponsor Kelloggs Snacks supported the event with monetary and food donations. The McIntosh PTSO contributes support to the academic, technology and landscaping needs of the school. Since the organizations first fashion show was such a huge success, another one is being planned for next year: Fashionata 06: New York, New York. Due to overwhelming public response, a morning and afternoon show will be considered. Tickets will go on sale in the fall for the winter event. |
