Bad Links? | Work progresses on new hotelBy BEN NELMS Grading is nearly complete and a portion of the pipe work has begun for the new Fayetteville Hampton Inn to be built along Lanier Ave. between Tiger Trail and the newly constructed Meeting Place Drive. The hotel will be situated on 1.8 acres and is expected to consist of 78 rooms with meeting and special events facilities, according to Scarbrough & Rolader Development representative Donna Black. The hotel will not include a restaurant. The anticipated completion date for the project is September 2005. Plans for the project were approved by Fayetteville Planning and Zoning Commission in July 2004. |
