Mary Grace Kimsey, daughter of Becky Kimsey of Fayetteville and the late Tim Kimsey, has been selected finalist for Georgias 25th Annual Homecoming Queen Selection to be held March 5 and 6 at the Perimeter Center Marriott in Atlanta. Kimsey is the Landmark High-school Homecoming Queen.
Georgias 2005 Homecoming Queen will receive a cash scholarship plus an expense paid trip to the National Finals to compete with queens from the other states for Americas Homecoming Queen.
The national selections were held this past August at the Disneyland resort in Anaheim, California. Americas Homecoming Queen, Inc. is a non profit organization promoting education, educational travel, and community service.
Past Georgia State Homecoming Queen winners include Fayette County High Schools Shelly Waters, McIntosh High Schools Ashley Anne Carlton, Griffin High Schools Cynthia Lynn Cruse, Palmetto High Schools Angela Alexander, and Morrow High Schools Alicia Hall. Two of Georgias own have previously won the title of Americas Homecoming Queen. April Ham of Woodstocks Etowah High School won in 1985 and Diedra Gracyn West of the Fullerton Academy won in 1992.
