Debutantes for Christ to be presented March 5Debutantes for Christ, a mentoring program for young women in the Atlanta area sponsored by Women After Gods Own Heart Ministry (WAGOH), will formally present this years group of debutantes at a coming out event Saturday, March 5, at 5 p.m. at the Atlanta Airport Marriot Hotel in College Park. Tickets are available and may be purchased by calling WAGOH, 770-460-1369. Special invited guests and presenters will also share and participate in the occasion. Fayetteville educator and evangelist Donnella Cranford launched the city-wide mentoring program several years ago. Over a duration of 13 months, teenage girls from Atlanta, College Park, Jonesboro, Riverdale, Fayetteville, Fairburn, Lithonia, and Lawrenceville come together to participate in life skill classes, cultural and community activities, spiritual edification, and recreational activities. The mentoring program is based in Fayetteville. Most of the debutantes reside in Fayette County where they attend both Sandy Creek and Fayette County High Schools. The ministry encourages parent, community, corporate, and individual support and participation in the personal development of children. |
