Providence to present Rebecca Walker Jones in concert March 9Providence United Methodist Church will present a free concert Sunday, March 9 at 7 p.m., featuring Fayetteville resident Rebecca Walker Jones, a singer/songwriter who is about to release a new Christian album entitled Still Searching. Originally from London, England, Jones came to the United States in 1995 and was signed to BMG Music International in Nashville. Her newest CD, which features 10 tracks, was recorded in Marietta with the help of producer J. David Leonard, past president of The Atlanta Songwriters Association. Jones, an accomplished vocalist and guitarist, wrote all the words and music, and also plays piano on a couple of tracks. According to a church spokesperson, Call Yourself A Christian? is a reggae based song which will no doubt rattle a few cages while Let Us Pray is a powerful anthem to the Lords Prayer. I hope you hear these songs and that they start many conversations conversations with yourself, conversations with your children and spouse and most importantly conversations with your Creator, the spokesperson said. For more information, visit Jones Web site, www.rebeccawalkerjones.com. Jones has been living in Fayetteville since 2001. She is married and has three children, Alexandra age 5 and 2-year-old twins Ethan and Isabel. |
