Bad Links? | Ruppenthal, Floyd return to Magistrate Court for new termFayette County Magistrate Court judges Bob Ruppenthal and Charles Floyd were each recently sworn in to second terms in office after voters reelected them by wide margins last fall. Probate Judge Martha Stephenson administered the oath of office to both. The magistrate court is one of the busiest in the county, handling civil disputes, certain midemeanors and criminal offenses, ordinance violations, issuance of arrest and search warrants, and preliminary bond hearings for both felony and misdemeanor criminal arrests. Said Ruppenthal, I consider serving in this position a privilege and I will continue to do my best to perform my duties with integrity and excellence while respecting the interests of all our citizens.
