Bad Links? | Physicians pony up for playgroundResurgens Orthopaedics is purchasing a handicap-accessible playground for Peachtree City that will be installed next to the Kedron multipurpose rink. Resurgens officials presented a ceremonial check to the city for almost $45,000 at last weeks City Council meeting. The playground will be purchased directly by the doctors group and should be installed by this summer, recreation officials said. The new playground will join the All Childrens Playground at Picnic Park, an expansive playground featuring a rubberized surface and wide ramps so children in wheelchairs and walkers can play alongside other children. The park funded by Resurgens wont be quite as big, but it will include several special swings that will accommodate wheelchairs, officials said. |
