Bad Links? | Grantville gospel singing schedule set for 2005A free monthly gospel sing is held the fourth Saturday of each month at the renovated freight depot in Grantville, a small town south of Newnan in Coweta County. The depot is on Main Street adjacent to Colley Park. The event features gospel singers from all over the southeast. Singing begins at 6 p.m. and usually lasts until about 9 p.m. Refreshments are available. Roy Smith recently announced the gospel sing schedule for the remainder of 2005. The schedule includes: Feb. 26 - Southern country gospel music featuring the Birchfield Family from Manchester, Journey Land from Dallas, Ga., and Young Spirit from Manchester. March 26 - Southern country gospel music and blue grass music featuring the Godin Family from Phenix City, Ala., the High Point Quartet from Dallas, Ga., Second Coming from Griffin, and Marshall White from Grantville. April 23 - Southern country gospel music featuring The Followers from LaGrange, Jimmy Norred from LaGrange, and the Louis Atkins family from Newnan. May 28 - Southern country gospel music featuring Dean Stephens from Franklin and the Christian Aires from LaGrange. June 25 - Southern country gospel music featuring Tri Cities from Ranburne, Ala. and the Good News Trio from LaGrange. July 23 - Southern country gospel music featuring the Gospel Messengers from LaGrange and the Godin Family from Phenix City, Ala. Aug. 27 - Southern country gospel music featuring New Horizons from Thomaston and Second coming from Griffin. Sept. 24 - Southern country gospel music featuring Dean Stephens fromFranklin and Truly for Him from Birmingham, Ala. Oct. 22 - Southern country gospel music featuring the Knox Family from Tallahasse, Ala., and Christian Aires from LaGrange. Nov. 26 - African-American gospel music featuring Burning Bush from Atlanta, Gods Almighty Gospel Group from Grantville, Tony Nalls from Grantville, and The Spiritual Dancers from Grantville.
