Bad Links? | Fayette escapes damage from thunderstormsBy JOHN MUNFORD The thunderstorm that rolled through Fayette late Monday night produced little in the way of damage, but it sure put a punctuation mark on the beginning of Georgias Severe Weather Awareness Week. The only storm-related incident was reported in unincorporated Fayette County when a lightning strike caught two baled rolls of hay on fire at 366 Ellison Rd., said Capt. Pete Nelms of the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
