Bad Links? | Suspects sought in BK robberyBy LEE WILLIAMS Police are on the hunt for two suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery at Burger King on North Glynn Street. Two gun-toting masked men robbed employees Feb. 9 while they were preparing to open the store located at 655 N. Glynn St. The gunmen got away with $1,000, Fayetteville Police Department spokeswoman Lt. Beverly Trainor said. No one was injured during the incident, Trainor said. Detectives are still working on the case. Police have made no arrests in the case. The Burger King has been a magnet for thieves in years past. According to information compiled by the Fayetteville police, there have been four robberies at the restaurant since 2000. Trainor indicated the crimes do not appear to be connected. At this time our analysis leads us to believe that the robberies are not linked and three of the four cases have been inactivated due to no leads or suspects, she said. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Lt. Beverly Trainor at 770-461-4441. |
