Bad Links? | Hangar 74 cited for overcrowdingBy LEE WILLIAMS The owner of Hangar 74 in Peachtree City received a verbal warning Saturday after police and fire officials determined the building was too overcrowded. Peachtree City police, fire and rescue crews responded to the business located at 288 Ga. Highway 74 N., after another police officer suspected the business had exceeded their maximum occupancy limits. Police and fire officials did a head count and determined there were 160 people inside. However, the bars maximum occupancy limit is 114. We met with the owner identified as Cindy Zombick outside of the business, according to police. She was advised by the fire department to ask people to leave immediately and keep the correct occupancy from this point on. Ms. Zombick was also advised that the fire marshal would receive a copy of the report. Tthe owner could face stiffer repercussions if there is a repeat of the Saturday night incident. Lastly, Ms. Zombick was advised by Lt. Jeff Koldoff of the fire department that the next time the maximum capacity was surpassed, her business would be shut down, police said. |
