After-school program now at YMCA

The Fayette Family YMCA is now providing after-school activities to Booth, Rising Starr and Whitewater middle schools.

By collaborating with the Fayette County After School, the YMCA is supplementing the after-school program at the middle schools. A grant from JC Penney has been instrumental in implementing the program at the YMCA.

Transportation will be provided from Booth, Rising Star and Whitewater middle schools to the YMCA at 215 Huiet Rd., Fayetteville. Hours are after school until 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Program components include snack,

homework time, outdoor activities, library time, and science time. After school will be supervised by experienced, certified YMCA staff, and all activities emphasize our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Fee is $45 per week or $30 for partial week (3 days). An annual membership fee of $35 per family is required for registration and is good for other program registration. The after school fee is due by Wednesday for the following week. Enrollment registration may be picked up at the school administrative office or the YMCA (770-719-9622).
