Bad Links? | Fashion fundraiser for firefighter rescheduledBy LEE WILLIAMS A Fashion Show planned to raise money for a Fayette County firefighter battling a brain tumor has been rescheduled. Sandra Addison of J. Andrews Bridal & Formal, 308 Willow Bend Road, Peachtree City, who is organizing the event, said she received an overwhelming response from the community since the event was publicized. The event now will be held May 1 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Every dime raised will benefit Fayette County firefighter Josh Warren and his 5-year-old daughter, Hannah, Addison said. We rescheduled it to May 1 because of all the people that want to help, Addison said. We hope this will allow us to make that much more for them. The Fashion Show will be held at the Wyndham Peachtree Hotel & Conference Center. J. Andrews Bridal & Formal is the official sponsor for the event. Addison, with the bridal shop owner, Jean Mormols blessing, decided to lend a hand after learning of Warrens plight. Warren, 25, exhausted all of his annual and sick leave and has limited income to care for himself and his daughter, or pay the $700 per month medical insurance premium, which will cover the care he receives from the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. So, the folks at J. Andrews, agreed to do their part. The Fashion Show will showcase an array of wedding gowns and door prizes also will be given out. J. Andrews will give away a bridal gown. A florist from Virtu, 1107 Crosstown Court, Peachtree City, and a representative from Dream Cakes in Peachtree City also will donate door prizes. J. Andrews efforts will join the growing number of residents, students and businessowners who have joined together to help Warren. Roughly $12,000 has been raised to date.
