Weddings, Anniversaries, EngagementsFlinn-DeMuthKelley Michelle Flinn and Mark David DeMuth were married July 10, 2004, at the Pavilion of Dunwoody by the Rev. George Houston. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Sampson of Newnan and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Flinn of McDonough. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Elskes of Augusta and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Cash of Randall, Kan. The bride was graduated from the State University of West Georgia with a degree in art education and is employed as an art teacher with the Forsyth County Board of Education. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John DeMuth of Peachtree City. He is the grandson of Mrs. Geraldine Glatstein and the late Jerry Glatstein of Pine Bluff, Ark., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ken DeMuth of Holyoke, Mass. The groom was graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in management and is employed as a sales manager with Sweet Paper Corporation. Mrs. Stacey McCrary, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Christy Bialo, Barbara Childers, Joy Huff, Beanie Jones, Donna Moore and Courtney Ratto, friends of the bride. Brianna Gable, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. Jennifer Stroud and Mary Beth Thompson, friends of the bride, greeted guests as they arrived. Josh DeMuth, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Matthew Butler, Brent Johnson, Aaron Lincove, Jamie Praser, Matt Thompson and Scott Thompson. Ushers were Grant Sparks and Lucas Sparks, cousins of the groom. A reception and dance followed the ceremony at the Pavilion. The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica and now reside in Dunwoody. Johnson-CouchMr. and Mrs. Michael D. Johnson of Peachtree City announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Amanda Michelle, to John Samuel Couch of Cartersville, son of Ms. Jan Couch of Cartersville and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Couch of Roswell. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William D. Chisolm of Plant City, Fla. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac D. Johnson of Fernandina Beach, Fla. She is a 1999 graduate of McIntosh High School. She was graduated cum laude from Georgia Southern University in 2003 with a degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She is employed as an inside account manager for BlueLinx Corporation and currently resides in Vinings. The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Allen of Cartersville and Mrs. Obeera Couch and the late Mr. Frances A. Couch of Anderson, S.C. He is a 1999 graduate of Cartersville High School and a 2003 graduate of Georgia Southern University where he received a bachelors degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing. He is employed as an outside account manager with Southeastern Freight Lines, Inc. and currently resides in Marietta. While at Georgia Southern, both were active members of the American Marketing Association. A June wedding is planned at the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City. After a honeymoon to Whitehouse, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Marietta. Tharpe-WallGene and Barbara Tharpe of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Ann, to Michael Anthony Wall, son of Carl and Sue Wall of Clarksville, Tenn. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lottie and the late Dock Hembree of College Park, and the late Clayton and Maggie Tharpe of Panama City, Fla. She is a 2001 graduate of Valdosta State University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in environmental geography, and a 2003 graduate of the University of Tennessee, where she earned a master of science degree in geography. She is currently employed as a geographic information systems specialist with ARCADIS, an international engineering and consulting firm. The groom-elect is the grandson of Edward and Marge Kawabata and the late Edward Bassingthwaite of Clarksville, Tenn., and Bennie and June Wall of Southside, Tenn. He is a 2000 graduate of Austin Peay State University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in political science, and a 2004 graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he earned his juris doctorate. He currently practices law with Hall, Booth, Smith, and Slover, an Atlanta law firm. The wedding will be in April at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, with a reception following at the Hollingsworth House. After a honeymoon in Negril, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Mableton.
