Divorce Care, Divorce Care for Kids to be offered at PTC UMCThe Peachtree City United Methodist Church announces a new session of Divorce Care and Divorce Care for Kids starting Sunday, Jan. 23 at 6:30 p.m. Sessions will continue each Sunday from 6:30-8 p.m. at the churchs Robinson Road campus. DivorceCare is a 12-week session for those going through divorce transition. We offer help in dealing with emotional pain and sorting out the realities of divorce situations, with emphasis on finding ways to cope and heal toward a better life, a spokesperson said. Facilitators are Valerie Cleveland and Carl Bissantz. Meetings are held in room 300 on the third floor. Divorce Care for Kids is a 12- week course for children ages 5-12, designed to help children in a divorce situation understand what is happening around them and how to deal with it. Being with other kids going through a divorce situation often helps them see that they are not alone, a spokesperson said. The course is held simultaneously with adult Divorce Care so that those going through that program can find healing for their children as well. The course is not limited to those currently enrolled in Divorce Care. Any child of divorce is welcome. Meetings are held each Sunday from 6:30-8 p.m. in room 120 on the first floor. Facilitators are Mike Biltimier and Ray Millea.
