Holy Trinity to host stem cell research presentation Jan. 26The Holy Trinity Respect Life Group will host a presentation on stem cell research Wednesday, Jan. 26, following the 7 p.m. Mass. Fr. Joseph Peek, parochial vicar of Mary Our Queen Catholic Church, will present the churchs teachings on human cloning and embryonic stem cell research. Dr. Gerry Sotomayor, Atlanta obstetrician and founder of Babies for Life, will present the practical applications and uses of ethical stem cell units, including cord blood donation. Dr. David Collart, professor of biology at Clark Atlanta University, will present the science of stem cell therapies, including the difference between therapeutic and reproductive cloning.
