Study program in Chile is first for Clayton St.Clayton College & State University has established its first original study-abroad program, in association with the the University of Santiago and the University of La Serena in Chile. All of the study abroad programs weve offered our students up to this point have been collaborative programs, which have real merit, said Clayton States director of international education, Dr. Robert Welborn. But since this program is homegrown, it allows us to really capitalize on the strengths of our faculty and tailor the program to the needs of our students. About a dozen students will have the opportunity to study in Chile from May 16-31. The program focuses on business and culture in Latin America, but all majors are invited to participate. Course credits from study abroad count the same as classes taken on the Clayton State campus. The three-week program includes two weeks of travel-study and one week taught at Clayton State.
