Fayette DAR helps kids during holidaysThe Fayette-Starrs Mill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution joined other Georgia chapters at a Christmas Party for students of Tamassee School, hosted by the William McIntosh Chapter in Jackson. Chapters adopted students of the school for Christmas and provided gifts and goodies for the children to celebrate the holidays. The hosting chapter provided a wonderful pizza and lasagna lunch while the students sorted through stockings, opened gifts and loaded up on sweets for their trip home. Focusing on each child's fullest growth and development, life at Tamassee emphasizes faith in God, high morals, citizenship, and patriotism as the foundation to academics, family life, and social activities. From a beginning with 100 acres and one building in 1919, Tamassee has grown to a campus encompassing more than 800 acres and 30 buildings.
